JOB PURPOSE The School Nurse is responsible for providing first aid, medical care, and health support to students and staff, while maintaining medical records and ensuring a safe and healthy school environment. The role involves liaising with parents, section heads, and external medical facilities for emergencies, and ensuring adequate availability of medicines and medical equipment in compliance with school policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide medical assistance and first aid to students and staff during school hours.
Maintain student medical records and ensure confidentiality.
Communicate health concerns to parents and section heads.
Ensure medical supplies and equipment are available at all times.
Promote health, safety, and discipline in line with school ethos.
Undertake continuous professional development as required.
